Pressing and finishing quality
Finishing creates the customer’s first visual judgment.
Pressing uses heat, moisture, pressure, vacuum, shape and time. The wrong combination can create shine, impressions, distortion, seam marks or fabric damage.
Finishers should understand fabric type, lining, trims, buttons, pile, nap, pleats, shoulders and garment construction before applying pressure.
Final finishing should restore appearance without overworking the garment.
