Viscose, rayon, acetate and regenerated fibres
Regenerated fibres can look premium but react unpredictably.
Viscose and rayon can lose strength when wet, distort, shrink or develop texture changes. They often appear in fashion garments with weak construction or mixed trims.
Acetate is sensitive to heat and some solvents. It may deform, lose lustre or be damaged by incorrect spotting chemistry.
Modern regenerated fibres such as modal and lyocell can perform well, but blends, dyes and finishes still need testing and careful process selection.
